Secrets
- #1) When you get into the big outside area with tons of different enemies, deal with all that you can, and look for the tower just across from the console that requires the Blue Key; make your way to the top, grab the Railgun, blow open the cracked wall panel and jump on in to collect a Megahealth.
- #2) Easter Egg. Make your way up the structure all the way until you get to a long hallway with a deceased Marine's crashed pod at the other end (should say "Hodgson" on it); before entering this hall, turn around, there is a gap with 2 Strogg emblems. Use the ledge on your left to make a running jump across the gap into a dark, hidden duct with a surprise at the end. Hint: If you came to the crashed pod, go to the opposite side.
Trivia
- This is the only level in an official Quake II single-player campaign to include all six Guards.
- There was an unused animation for the Technician in which it began sitting on the ground with its arms retracted, and then extends its arms and takes off in to the air. This animation was not seen in any of the original Quake II campaigns, but one Technician can be seen to do so on this level.
- Several Strogg on this level drop items of ammunition when killed which do not correspond to their weaponry. For example, Gunners drop shotgun shells, and a Light Guard drops bullets.
- The callsign of the Marine in this Unit is "Eriksson", visible on the drop pod at the start of this level. Another drop pod with the callsign "Hodgson" can be found elsewhere in the level. It seems likely that these are based on Anton Eriksson and Chris Hodgson, from the MachineGames development team in the credits.
