The spawn of a human Tank Commander and an Iron Maiden of Stroggos, Tankjr is a sadistic bio-tech nightmare.

Like Alexander, son of Phillip of Macedonia, Tank Jr. is the rightful heir to a kingdom carved out by conquerors like his sire, the Tank Commander from Stroggos. Descended from that dreaded and feared military leader fought and defeated during the Stroggos Wars, this machine of war possesses an innate desire to crush all foes beneath his metal-shod heel.[1]

The Tank Commander of Stroggos carved out a huge empire before being destroyed. That empire was the birthright of TankJr, reputedly the son of the Tank Commander and an Iron Maiden of Stroggos. Still young and curious about the ways of the universe, TankJr is consumed by hatred of his opponents and any who would stand in the way of his reclaiming his "right" to begin his father's empire anew. His background makes him virtually unable to communicate except through the language of destruction.
TankJr is incredibly vengeful and pursues an opponent with complete disregard for his own personal safety. If he can get the rocket launcher, he will, and the only thing TankJr loves more than a rocket launcher is the Quad. TankJr is completely mechanical, even more so than Angel, and his attempts at conversation reveal this.

- Its other names in chat include "Monstrosity", "Ironsides", "Gear-Face", "Stroggy-Boy" and "Cyborg Scum".
- Its biography of being the offspring of a Tank and Iron Maiden is likely a refernce to the Tank and Iron Maidens seen in the secret area of Final Showdown at the end of Quake II.
- Tank Jr is the only character in Quake III Arena without an idle animation.
