OPERATION: Corpse Run is a Unit in the new Call of the Machine campaign introduced in the 2023 Quake II Remaster. It is a heavily combat-focused mission, giving the player large quantities of ammo and weaponry before sending them against massive waves of numerous enemies.

This is one of the campaigns where the player doesn't need to go back and forth between levels to complete objectives.

• Based on the crashed pod, this Marine's callsign is "Surgubbe"
  • "Surgubbe" is a Swedish term roughly translating to "Grumpy Old Man", probably a reference to Bitterman.
• Upon taking the Slipgate at the end of The Death Gate, the marine is approached by unseen roaring entities in the dark space between dimensions, but enters Give Me Back My Moon before he is harmed.
