This is the only level in the vanilla game to use Quake Theme as the soundtrack. Beyond this level, the only time the player hears this track is during the demos at the beginning of every game and the story text at the end of each Episode.

Trivia
- American McGee designed this level in a single day, not stopping for testing until he felt the level was complete. One of the main aspects he liked about the level was how compact it was; American McGee was highly intrigued by being able to make fun things that were also minimalist in design.
- A conversion for Quake Live was once in development by id Software called Prime Evil, but the map was never finished nor released.
