The Anvil is a custom Powerup. It mostly exists as a placeholder for what was planned to be an upcoming project by Steve Bond.

The Anvil doesn't do anything when taken, it just displays the message "Coming soon to a skull near you!". It respawns every 10 seconds, even in Single Player.

Note that the Anvil was later used in Ultimate Quake for the spell "Looney Toons" whereby it would cause 30 damage after landing on an opponent's head.
