ASC2MAP is a file converter for Quake made in 1996 by Stephan da Silva. This program converts .ASC files, CAD files that can be made in 3ds Max, to Quake .MAP files.
This file also reads script files that determine coordinates, providing a quicker may to modify .MAP files instead of editing the file directly.
While 3DS2MAP gained a bit of traction, ASC2MAP remained in obscurity, and it is unknown if any levels outside of the test level were made with it.
